Exhibitions
The gallery is run by Mark Graver and Tania Booth and complements the existing on site businesses - Wharepuke Subtropical Accommodation, 5 self contained cottages, the Wharepuke Print Studio and Food at Wharepuke, a Thai Fusion restaurant.
The gallery is currently showing paintings and prints by Mark Graver and future shows lined up include a show by the UK Printmakers Council made specifically for Art at Wharepuke, NZ and international open submission print shows, exchange shows with two USA print studios and an exhibition of Vietnamese printmakers from Hanoi’s Academy of Fine Arts which is being supported by the Asia New Zealand Foundation. Mark and Tania will be visiting Hanoi to film interviews with the artists and select the show and Mark will give a lecture on Non Toxic Printmaking. The subsequent film will feature as part of the exhibition.
He is then heading to Northern Ireland to run a non toxic printmaking workshop, take up a residency position at Seacourt Print Studio, and to discuss a possible print collaboration project concerning Wet Land Conservation.
